me and my g/f were travelling to the lake to do some camping and turned on talk radio cause FM wouldn't work

the topic was about some school nearby not letting someone go to the washroom during class and people being furious about it

of course, through listening to the parents and administrators, it was clear that the reason this 15 year old girl wasn't allowed to go to the washroom was due to repeated abuse of the system

it was also clear that, before the 40 minute class, all kids were given ample opportunity to use the facilities

so my g/f starts ranting and raving about how it's so unfair that the teacher wouldn't let this girl go to the washroom. "her period could start immediately and she would bleed all over her pants and be so embarassed"

smartly, I just let her rant and rave without bringing forth my opinion (that the girl is retarded and doesn't deserve to go). obviously if she had a drastic personal issue she could just leave the room - the teacher wouldn't hold her captive in the room.

then she starts going on about how her teacher is a misogynist [censored] who was oppressing his female students, while a. not knowing if the teacher was male, b. assuming he did this because she was female, and c. not listening at all to the dialogue from everyone else, including the child's parents, who confirmed that she was abusing the system.

blah blah chow meow later and we're getting into a huge argument about gender roles and their impact on society. but it's not even an argument anymore - it's her calling me every name in the book and telling me how much she hates me and I'm just pretty much sitting there agreeing with 97% of what she's saying.

Pretty standard, women do this kind of crap all the time, you have to be able to put up with it if you want to survive in a long term relationship. Mine just freaked out on me in much the same way because when she was 20 minutes late picking me up from work, I walked down to get a burger from Wendy's and she had to wait for 10 minutes when she finally showed up.

They can be very retarded at times...

Correct. Lazy is not appropiate here. Unhelpful would be the correct word. Unfortunately, you as the man are supposed to do all the things for her that she doesn't want to do, despite the fact that you also have to do all things for yourself that you don't want to do.

I'm starting to think more and more this kinda stuff is just standard. I used to question it a ton (and still do when it happens sometimes) - but I think most women do this kinda crap from time to time. It seems that guys who claim otherwise are probably young and almost definitely not married.

I think if we could be put into a woman's shoes we'd be shocked at how much hormones control their emotions (and therefore the rest of their lives). The same way that most women would be shocked to find out the full role that sex plays on the male mind.
