I'm shoving here, the only hand I can imagine that got there on the river is 89s and its hard to imagine that he gets this far. Its possible he has a set/two pair here that he might fold.

He's not folding a set or two pair here. He could have a set, or a pocket pair like Ts or Js, or A9. How loose is he calling raises pre-flop? If he's very loose then hands like 8T and 68 aren't out of the question, particularly suited.
I'd probably just check-call. He's played this like a draw, so if he has a hand you beat, let him bluff it at you. |

At 6-max I always have a 'crazy' image from a lot of donkeys viewpoint so I can do things like this and get called by a overpair to the board (err yeah this has happened multiple times, not sure what villain was thinking). |

I think any sort of SEMITHINKINGCAPABLE opponent realizes that there's almost no way we could possibly hold an 8 here.
No draw really missed except for the TJ gutshot which i completely rule out. So the chances that he bluffs when we check to him are very minimal. I would like to think that we would have heard something from a set/2 pair by now. One pair is still possible (9T/9J and the likes). Given all that I'm still clueless as to what to do. Does anyone actually check fold here for only 30 more dollars? or do we check call? Does anyone think shoving here is a good idea? We might get called by overpairs/one pair hands that were content with checking the river...and if we were going to check call anyway...the only hand that we're folding out are bluffs (which I have already ruled out) |

Any possible draw got there on the river. So a missed draw is pretty much impossible (unless you count gutshots).

too many draws on the flop hit...so i check/call only because he has no money left...but why are we discounting J10 here, if we are??
