I voted Bf5.

Impressions of a rank amateur: Bc5 isn't going to accomplish much. White is aware you will be setting up an attack, and has planned around it.

Bf5 gives you options and a reasonable probability of an attrition-based game. Which I don't think is either side's goal here, so you might as well set up multiple attack foci.

Unfortunately, Black seems to have made its game a little transparent, and will have to rely on sheer tactics and a mistake by White to gain a decisive advantage.

However, it's still pretty close at this stage.

Disclaimer: I know little to nothing about chess.

You haven't offered a plan yet, you did know that, right?

My plan was to allow all pieces to play chess and to get my king tucked away. Or do you limit plans to just rattling off lines?

i am of the "get king tucked away" school.

Bc5, fighting for control of d4, is a good option here. Be7 is also viable, but more passive.

There's time yet to do that. Bc5 is viable, but did not need to be made at 9.
