Just from the sound of her voice, "My Eternal" by Evanescence. [/ QUOTE ] This chick can really wail, but the song is such a bad butt-rock power ballad other than that it doesn't really get me. I won't change the station though. NT |

Amazing grace when Arlo Guthrie sings it [/ QUOTE ] I saw Arlo in concert about 15 years ago and I didn't even know that this song had so many verses. He's been singing it for probably 50 years now and he does it so nice. One of the best concert experiences ever for me. Bob Dylan and Miles Davis were more memorable experiences, but just barely. My only Gratefl Dead concert was an experience too, but that's another story. |

quel qu'un m'a dit::carla bruni
it's in french, but it's absolutely heartbreaking. the key line is 'somebody told me you still love me, could it be true?' she sounds so much like she wants it to be true, but knows it's not. i know needle in the hay is the classic elliot smith depressing song reply, because of it's use in the suicide scene in royal tenenbaums, but i think king's crossing is way, way more depressing. his girlfriend is on the track, begging him not to kill himself, even. enough cryin::mary j blige this gets me every time too. dunno why. |
