The cover doesn't matter, it's the text inside what this is all about. I'd buy it even if it was wrapped in toilet paper.

I wrote the back cover copy, and I had this debate with myself, and I decided to destroy my copy of the MLA Handbook for Writers and ignore proper grammar. . I suppose I am one helluva poker player .

I miss the pistol, but I like the front cover, especially if the green is deeper. The chip inlay is a nice touch. However, the back layout is off and instead of some guy who won some tournament, the quotes should get people directly to OOT where all the action is. E.g.:

"When fighting 5 year olds, I need a man who is surprisngly strong on my side--that man is David Sklansky" --astroglide

"I'm hooked" --cokequestion

"I will help you invest all of your newfound money, my friend" --Idi

Anyways, I'm looking forward to reading this.

I wrote the back cover copy, and I had this debate with myself, and I decided that the apostrophes were good because I didn't want any confusion. I suppose I am a sinner.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nah, if the New York Times can use apostrophes when pluralizing decades -- "He was born in the 1970's" -- I think you're on reasonable ground here.

[ QUOTE ]
P.S. I also use "they" as a singular neuter pronoun in many places throughout the book. I think it's a progressive, yet natural, solution to our pronoun gender problem.

[/ QUOTE ]

I do too, and I think it will probably become standard usage in the long run, unless "ou" makes a surprise comeback.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, I think you came up with a new quote for the back cover:

"After reading this book I upped my win-rate. Up yours."

I can't believe you people are wasting a minute of your life debating the color, look, etc. of this book.

What, you guys afraid the green won't match your throw pillows on your couch? Just debate the damn material, not the flippin cover!

Mason & Ed can't wait to read it...even if the damn thing came out in lavinder!
