I can't help myself so I guess I'll respond. First of all, it does not say in the Bible that gambling is a sin. I am well aware that the Bible does not cover all religions, but I'm pretty sure that Koller is talking about Christians. Please clarify between things that people do for religious reasons and things that people do because they assume they are bad.

Secondly, get a clue about communism. First you say that the government is religious, then you say it's communist. Communism is anti-religion.

Im pretty suprised so many people say they will just continue to play...but i think its a good thing. I guess people figure that Doyle snuck around in the backrooms breaking the law and risking his life and it worked out okay for him.

I joined this PPA thing and i am curious what they are doing right now? I get newsletters about Phil Hellmuths charity event getting cancelled but they dont have anything on their website about my whole f'n state making poker a felony.

My statement:

Most american's are too religious. They do what their religious government tell them to do. How it's even possible: playing poker in the internet is a crime. In Finland and Sweden the internet poker is of course legal and EEC winnings are tax-free too!

Why you guys take this sh*t from your government? America is starting to look like Soviet Union. Note I said is starting to look like.

Republicans are basically communist in disguise.

Yes they are capitalist, but so was nomenklatura. Not openly, but they were greedy and they had everything they wanted.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm tired of hearing about this being a religious issue. Churches are not calling for the end of internet gambling. Policing morality is not exclusive to Christianity or any religion. For example how many liberal aethyists believe in the legalization of marijuana?

Plus I'd adjust your last statement to read- Most republican leaders are basically believers in big gov't dependancy and regulation in disguise. As many nits would tell you, true communism has no state.

Until I start hearing about online poker players getting charged with felonies, for no other reason then being an online poker player, i'm not going to quit because of changes in the law.
