Default 30k in the hole-first post- No limit Holdem

Please take this question seriously as I know many will lecture and joke what I have to ask but Iam dead serious. Started playing NL Holdem 8 months ago-plkayed cards before so picked it up quickly. Lost at first (about 1500) then won more and amore-stepped up limits to 10-20 at one point. Cleared about 25000 in month and a half.

My question is this-I went on a terrible run-bad calls-cold cards-tilt-SUCK OUTS etc... Ive spent the 25000 (doesnt matter on what) and left 5000k tp play. Lost the 5000k and am now down 30000k. Major f up I know- I need opinions on how and what tables to play with a bank roll of 600 to start rolling again. Heres the catch- I need about 700 a month to pay off the credit cards that racked. (Im an idiot). Im a solid player-who plays loose aggressive and can tighten up when needed. I do however play some hands to aggressive and get burned or make the odd bad call but overall a good player who is capable...Im in no rush but obviously I want this gone sooner then later. Ive made a log and noted that if I win 100 a day I would be able to pay of the debt in 12 months. This would be at 1-2 doller NL tables. Any suggestions comments welcome. Please be friendly-first post
PS I placed the post here becuse you are the most experienced and have heard you guys and girls talk of losing boat loads aswell. I know that you all probably had the money to do so and made it easier to bounce back. Anyway, comments-fire away!!!!

So you went down from a $5M to a $3M bankroll? You'll probably want to drop down in stakes.

But in all seriousness, work on your game.

First let me say that i only play small stakes so you might want to take my advice with a grain of salt.

I understand you played 10-20 NL. A bankroll of only 5000 $ seems to be way to small for this. Even if you´re good enough to consistently beat the game you just can`t withstand the inevitable swings.

Playing 1-2 NL with only 600 $ is no good idea for the very same reasons, especially because you probably can`t replace the money right now should you go bust again. I think you should start even smaller, although i understand how frustrating this must be for you.

Please don´t get me wrong, a small fish like me is certainly in no position to criticise your game, but maybe you should take the opportunity to seriously analyse your game and check is for leaks. While suckouts, cold cards etc. may hurt you they are rarely the only reasons for bad streaks.

If you have 600 dollar and want to play NL, you have to start at the $25 buyin tables.

You always want around 20 buyins as bankroll.

So to move up to $50 NL you need to turn that $600 into $1000 at the $25 tables.

And then turn that $1000 into $2000 at the $50 tables to move up to $100.

Etc, etc.

When you're playing the $100 tables and lose $1000, you need to DROP DOWN to $50.

Because then your $1000 bankroll is not good enough anymore for the $100 tables.

It's a long way to 30K, but many people have done it before.

Good Luck!

It doesn't sound to me like you are a solid winning player yet, because you clearly have bankroll management problems and that alone would prevent you from being a steady winner.

So, i would say - get a part time job to pay for the debts and meanwhile work on your game (books, forum, practice, look over your hands using PT and etc).
Good luck!

The loose-aggressive style rarely wins over the long haul. You might want to move your game to the Tight-Aggressive area (if you can). Go down in the limits and start winning a little at a time to get your confidence back. Good Luck
