Based on observed play, it seems like this site is killing the myth that only good players care about rake (why wouldn't a losing player want to get $200 on monday?). It is as attractive for fishes as it is for TAGs. In fact here the fishes will last longer as much of their money get recycled instead of dropping into the black hole. Theres no reason to dig up an old forum post from last year where a player speculates that bots are being used. It's speculation afterall, no proof.

Not only that, he insinuates that the bots are planted on the site by the site itself! That's wild speculation IMO, and uncalled for. Maybe he was joking when he said [ QUOTE ]

Personally, I don't think this is the time or place to begin rumors. If that's to harsh for everyone, oh well, it's how I feel and I won't be changing anytime soon.

I want to play online poker for years without having to pay up my nose for that right. I don't see why it should cost me 50k in rake to do so. This online poker isn't brain surgery. The sites are gouging us for much more than their services are worth, IMO. I hope one day that changes. A viable rake free site is the first step to those ends.

So when posters do their best to sabotage the effort for a site to go rake free, they are in fact potentially stealing 50k from my poket next year.

Assuming that the 5x bonus you are referring to is 'dealt-hand' then it's $0.20 in value per raked-hd over there which is pretty good obviously.


For the WPEX way I just don't have enough familiarity to even make a good guess at it without actually trying it first.
There are even different ways of doing the 'contributed-rake' way and I'm not sure which one they are using. I could guess but I really don't know and probably wouldn't be close.


Somebody else who plays relatively tight at 2/4 limit, full-ring (or whatever you play) could give an idea of how much they are making per hour or hand though.


Personally, I'm going to try it out first and see how much I'm making and THEN use that to guage how much better it is compared with bonuses on other sites.
And game-quality becomes a factor at some point as well of course.
