Default fight with gf, judgement on my actions?

OK.

So my girlfriend and I had one of those nonsense fights. She says (in response to something I said)
"thats because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about"
I say
"That may be so, but you CLEARLY started this fight"
she says
"Well you should CLEARLY shut the [censored] up"

I figure a line has been crossed and I need to do something here. What do I do next OOT?

(btw this has already happened, I will post my line of action after responses)

Was she right that you clearly didn't know what you were talking about?

Either way isn't your first line pretty much a nonsequitur?

When a woman crosses the cursing line with me, I ususally just end the conversation right there. "That's not cool. If you can't be civil with me, I'm not going to talk to you right now. See you later." [leaves]

If this is impossible, you could say, "That's messed up that you said that. Why don't we both stop talking for a while until we calm down." [sit in silence]

If I didn't say something like this, i'd inevitably say something a lot worse back...escalation is bad.

Throw her out and don't talk to her for a couple days. She'll then try to make up. Once your made up, she'll pick another fight. This is a test. Don't get angry, just throw her out again. Rinse and repeat untill she is properly trained.

The key is to never show an change in emotion. Just calmly ask her to leave. If she doesn't grab her by the arm and put her outside. But do it calmly.

Spit in her face

OR

say " Don't you talk to me like, I ain't above hittin' a woman."

That usually will shut them up.
