Default 1/2 A2s checking turned A in late position 2 way

BB is 65-7-0.79
At the time I felt that he was playing more loose passivly then the stats would say.

You have to bet this turn. First, he's loose enough to call with a lot of hands that you beat. Second, he's passive enough that you can safely fold to a check-raise.

I came up with this while playing the hand. Thought it was good at the time:
That because I only had a 2 kicker, the very worst. I could possibly be drawing to just a split incase he had a A with better kicker which he might check raise. Also if he had a 9 he would miss to get in his check raise if I just checked behind, and prepared to call the turn no matter what comes.
The problem came from that I din't think I should fold to a check raise, even though my read. Since I could draw to half the pot.

This play would probably have been better against a more aggressive opponent. Since I could trust this ones raises alot more.

Raising A2s on the button with UTG caller is very bad! Flop is fine, Turn is bad, River is fine :S.

Bet the turn, watch him call down with mid pockets, profit.

Preflop isn't terrible if the blinds are really tight.

@ Arturius : Check BB stats

@ Pete : Don't worry about the times he has A-x, worry about losing profit against the hands that you didnt bet against.

Kiddy Pool ->

Bet bet bet bet bet. He's a loose passive, if he C/Rs you, its an easy fold. What card were you hoping for on the turn after betting the flop?
