Default Random Death

I was sitting on my laptop earlier, with Pokertracker, Realplayer, and internet explorer running, when out of nowhere it simply shut off. I was unable to turn it back on. I checked to make sure the battery was in, as the green "charging" light that is normally on while the computer is plugged in had gone out. The battery was in fine, the power outlet and surge protector were working fine, but the computer is off and pressing the on button does nothing.

I know there isn't a lot to go on here, but anyone have any ideas on what happened/what I can do to fix it? Any help would be appreciated as the ITC in my dorm closes soon for Spring Break.

Thank you,
Velocity

Could be a heat issue, maybe give it some time to cool down.

I don't think you're supposed to sit on them. This could be your problem.
