Default Another \"going to Vegas advice\" question....but specific at least!!!

OK. So I'll be out there in a few weeks with the wife. We'll both be at the pool every day for some amount of time. We're staying at Flamingo (I know the pool is a plus there already). What I want to know is if anyone has been to these "pool parties" they have nightly there now? Or to the "GO Pool", which I believe is their new entrant into the Euro-Topless sunbathing pool club now hitting Vegas by storm.

Reviews on one or both appreciated!!!

Oh and for others that have had posts recently, I can say that as a young 30-something who likes pop AND Hip Hop music and LOOKING at pretty women...for the money you pay...that Harrahs Carnical Court bar/stage between Harrahs and IP is worth it. I'll most likely take the wife to a Pure or Light type bar one night, but we'll make do with that place more I imagine. I'm from the midwest and used to bartend. I'm not used to waiting in lines (even at clubs with them) or paying for drinks....much less taking out a mortgage to get bottle service. But unlike my 2 trips a year, the wife gets 1 every 2 years...so we can spend a little more on things she likes when she is out here. I'll gambool enough when I'm back in October.

The Flamingo pool is one of the better ones?
I know virtualy nothing about the pools there so this kind of surprises me a little since the hotel itself doesn't exactly look luxurious.

More info on this Euro-Topless thing you refer to please!!!
These are all over LV now?

P McF,

You gave it less than an hour, dude. And an hour when many U.S. readers might be having lunch. Relax, the opinions will come in.

And by the way, the post might be specific, but the subject is not. "Questions on Flamingo pool," for one, would be better. "Question on Flamingo topless pool" would definitely pull in more eyeballs.

MicroBob,

Yes the Flamingo pool is pretty good. See Google aerial shot.

Phishy,

The "Go Pool" is just the upper level pool renamed, with topless bathing optional. Free for women who want to exercise the option, $20 for men who want to see them do it. ($10 for hotel guests).

I have not been since two years ago, but found that info at Vegas.com's Flamingo pool page.

The live music in the afternoon is new, too.

When I was there, I very much enjoyed the pool. Was there in May. Good number of attractive girls in bikinis, cocktail waitresses roaming around, and they were grilling up food for sale poolside, too.

The islands in the pool are plentiful and give you plenty of places to dip your feet and enjoy a drink and the sights.

Trees provide decent shade around the pool, but not in it.

A little tip for Flamingo pool-goers (shhhh, don't tell everyone). They won't let you cart in a cooler of your own beer/drinks because they want you to buy their overpriced booze at the pool bars.

However, near the back of the pool area is a Hilton Grand Vacations Club facility that has a deli/convenience store on the ground floor that you can walk right into. You can buy a six-pack for about $8 and stroll right back to the pool/hot tub area. +++ev.

Not a large sample size, admittedly, but no problems both times I've done it. I actually found this tip on Trip Advisor, so other people have apparently had success, too.

My bad. You're totally right....I was too impatient.

Now THAT is a good tip (ty/nh)! I wondered if the GO pool was simply part of the existing structure. When I read on one of the websites that it was on the roof I was curious, but now realize it isn't the top of the building roof...it's by the same definition that Harrah's pool is on the roof (of like the 3rd floor).

Honestly, with 100+ heat and the wife with me, I won't be crushing any 6 packs down but good to know for future gambooling trips. Topless-smopless IMO. But I was interested in what the music/party were like in regards to another late night entertainment option. We're going to see KA and hitting Tangerine w/hook up, but beyond that may hit Carnival Court and/or Pure or one of those "never would pay this much for atmosphere unless on vacation" clubs.
