You don't beat much- at BEST he has like 78hh or 78dd and has open ended+FD. I think you're looking at straight or two pair, MAYBE even 666. Pretty std fold.

obviously I regret betting the turn now but how often do would you check turn for pot control?

I did fold hoping he had a set of 5s or 8s.
I was concerned he was making a play at me with a flush draw though and to tell you the truth...
I don't know If I would've folded AK. Reason being, I also figured KQ through KT hearts in his range. The pot was about $200 at this point and his raise was about $125 more, so for him to simply call the turn he was pretty much committing to a river bet anyway.
