It's cheaper elsewhere although they are smaller retailers. This is after tax and shipping prices.

The new 1080p DLPs/ 3 LCOS Mitsubshi, Samsung and Sony XBR2 and A2000 are all very good TVs that are projection. Yes, LCD and Plasma are nice but they are much more expensive and the Plasma, are not lighter.

I have a pretty similar Sony projection LCD and I think it's awesome. The viewing angle is much wider on these modern sets.

I bought this samsung dlp this past summer and I love it. I feel like an idiot though. Apparently you can buy it at Circuit City for $1,329, and get a $100 gift card too. I bought mine for $1,399 at best buy, though it was during a promotion where it came with a free home theater system (which I needed anyway).

One site I found listed this TV as having a 60 degree vertical viewing angle. That means that essentially if the TV isn't pointing directly at your head, you won't be able to see anything (so if you stand up from the couch it'll all go black).

My TV (LCD) is listed as having a 175 degree viewing angle, but it starts to look pretty [censored] when you get to around 145 degrees - I can only imagine how small the viewing angle on this thing really is.

i don't like lcd tvs

i love my plasma and i'd love a dlp front projector on a nice big screen

i'd consider buying a rear-projection 61" dlp, tho but plasma fit my living room scheme and i prefer the viewing angles and color of plasma more

in other words, i wouldn't buy anything with a small viewing angle
