I agree with HEPFAP. I have not read the other 2.
Stay away from "Middle Limit Holdem". That book is insanely weak tight. That is my personal opinion though. YMMV. |

MLH by Ciaffone gives excellent analysis of hands and flop texture, better than you will find anywhere else.
however, its conclusions of what you should do based on that analysis is weak-tight. Once you understand where the book is good and where it isn't, i think its one of the best poker books out there. -g |

Please do not educate them on how good MLHP is. Let them hold whatever opinion they want to. There is nothing to be gained from it.

In my opinion, SSH, Weighing the Odds, & How Good is Your Limit Holdem are by far the best and are books you can completely build your game off of if you need to.
Honorable mentions go to HPFAP, Inside the Poker Mind, and Theory of Poker. These should also be mandatory reads for anyone getting serious about limit poker. Real Poker II, Internet Texas Hold'em, Ace on the River, all of the Poker Essays, Middle Limit Hold'em, IYP, and SS2 are all worth reading if you like to read and if you're careful each of these may help you at least a little bit. |
