Default Big draw in a minraised pot

B2B NL100

Players(max 8):
Player 1 (EUR 31.41 in seat 1)
Player 2 (EUR 78.95 in seat 2)
Player 3 (EUR 31.20 in seat 3)
Villain (EUR 74.70 in seat 4)
Player 5 (EUR 97.00 in seat 5)
Player 6 (EUR 53.40 in seat 6)
Player 7 (EUR 107.50 in seat 7)
Hero (EUR 91.80 in seat 8)

Dealer: Player 2
Small Blind: Player 3 (0.50)
Big Blind: Villain (1.00)

Hero was dealt: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

1 fold, Player 6 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, Player 2 calls, SB raises €1, All call, 5 to the flop..

Flop (Pot: €10) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks, Villain bets €5, Player 6 folds, Hero ???

I hadn't seen anything out of line with the villain before this. Two hands before, he hit bottom set and did the standard "call the flop, minraise the turn" line. Other than that, hadn't seen much out of him.

Is a push standard here? I think I'm a favorite here against everything except a flopped set. The half pot bet here does make me a bit nervous though - feels either like a very weak hand or a very strong one.

i would probobly raise to $15 and see the turn. push is a large overbet. i'd be more inclined to bet/3bet if we were OOP, but seeing as we do have pos, i like a raise instead of a push.

Pushing does negate the positional advantage, but man its nice to get all the money in on the flop with this hand. If you aren't risk averse I don't see the problem with pushing. But all in all I can agree with orange and say bump it up to 15-20, and call a push if he does so. Hit the six on the turn, its the most disguised of your draws.

Play the flop the same way you would with a set, check behind on the turn.
