I am in the unfortunate position of a) loving sandwiches more than anything and b) being a vegetarian. Anyone have any brilliant creations for me?

paluka, i actually like vegetarian whoppers a lot. surprisingly good.

there are millions of cheese sandwiches that rule. there's a local irish pub that has thick buttered/toasted bread with cheddar and goat cheese, then tomato slices.

the morning star black bean burgers with salsa are pretty good.

JB: Wasabi peas. That could be either genius or idiocy. I'm intrigued and will try this out. It sounds kinda gross to be honest, but like I said, I'm intrigued.

Paluka: This thread is not really about types of sandwiches, so I don't want to get it off topic, however, here's what the Brickhouse recommends for you: "Veggie Melt $6.95
Red Onions, Tomatoes, Avocado, Sprouts, Pesto and Swiss on Multi-grain Bread. " Basically, a weak imitation of the brickhouse melt I posted above.

Fry up a Boca burger and top it with some lettuce, tomato and spicy mustard, with a side of chips. Not exactly brilliant, but tasty.

Pauluka,

Look near the dairy section of your grocery store for fake deli meats.

TTS and others,

Please refrain from any more posts like that. We all know lots of types of good sandwiches and of course could have an endless thread of "sandwiches that we like." This thread is much more advanced, focused on advanced sandwich tips for those of us who possess a lot of knowledge about sandwiches already. The last thing we need in this thread is recommendations on which type of veggieburger Paluka should eat. Of course, you're welcome to start a new thread like "Stupid sandwiches with no meat."

All Mighty Breakfast Sandwich:
A toasted bagel with scrambled egg, fried bologna, bacon, and fried ham, top with hot sauce, also I like to put refried beans on mine.

The Heartattack (a creation I made at Subway):
regular bread with ham, roast beef, the meats of a cold cut trio, smashed meatballs with the sauce, american cheese, put in oven and enjoy.

The Brunch sandwich:
toasted bread with ham and your desired type of beef, grilled onions, sauerkraut (sp?), a fried egg, a sliced tomatoe

Right, I'm sure that someone who "posseses a lot of sandwich knowledge" will truly be blown away by your advanced "cut them in half diagonally" and "serve them with chips" tips. I never know if you're serious or not, but you sure are funny.
