Good question, I leave the money in the tip jar. They all rotate between making sandwhiches and ringing customers up. Usually two guys have a part making my sandwhich as they switch off after the toasting. I make it a point to say thanks to them. They remember that as well. Also, they must note that I'm the big guy who always comes in workout clothes and orders three chocolate chip cookies on the side.

SossMan - I can't believe I've never tried this Durkee's stuff before. Thanks for bringing it up. Von's down here in SoCal though, not Safeway.

El Diablo / Tik - Vietnamese sandwiches (the pork banh mi, especially) are awesome. Here is a pic from this place in SF's chinatown, called "Vietnam Rest." -

Impossible.

Example: When you make cocktail sauce, if the sauce's final color is closer to ketchup than horseradish, add more horseradish and a touch more lemon juice.

The bacon statement is only true if you're preparing the bacon or the place at which you are eating uses good bacon. Bad bacon is like doubly bad, because you're missing out on a bacon opportunity and having to eat greasy leather.
