I have a few questions. Been reading this thread and setting things up. So far I've got the autoratings all in place.
1. Does PT rate new players after they've played the minimum amount of hands or do you have to Batch them all over again? I checked this and it seems it doesn't? 2. How do I get notes on people for example on someone who is "TA-A", and their note says "TA-A", How do I do that? 3. How do I export the hands to Party? I seem to have no notes.txt file anywhere to export them to? 4. And for you people who multitable 3-4 tables like myself and use the external game time window (which I do not use at the moment), Isn't it quite a hassle to be switching names on 4 game time windows and finding the right one for the right table? Great thread bison |

First, get the patch for PT that is mentioned in this thread. I can't remember if all of the following works without the patch.
[ QUOTE ] 1. Does PT rate new players after they've played the minimum amount of hands or do you have to Batch them all over again? I checked this and it seems it doesn't? [/ QUOTE ] The import function includes an option to auto rate players when importing. [ QUOTE ] 2. How do I get notes on people for example on someone who is "TA-A", and their note says "TA-A", How do I do that? [/ QUOTE ] If you haven't already, go into the auto rate function. Click the "step 2" tab then click "Customize Icon Description". Rename your icons according to your rating system. Second, go to Utilities:Import/Export Player Notes. Click "Advanced Export". This function allows you to export PT statistics to player notes. One of the fields you can export is icon description. [ QUOTE ] 3. How do I export the hands to Party? I seem to have no notes.txt file anywhere to export them to? [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, not sure what you mean by export hands to Party. [ QUOTE ] 4. And for you people who multitable 3-4 tables like myself and use the external game time window (which I do not use at the moment), Isn't it quite a hassle to be switching names on 4 game time windows and finding the right one for the right table? [/ QUOTE ] I reset display settings to allow a PP table in each corner with some overlap. I arrange my game time windows behind each one. First is top left, second top right, third bottom left, fourth bottom right. I don't have to bother with names, because they're always arranged according to position of my PP windows. |

If you have no notes.txt file I think PT just creates one. I've re-installed Empire on my computer, and then export a file and it seems to work.

[/ QUOTE ] When I do this, I can't see anything in the party text area. It says "You must select the path to the player notes file" and if I click at Advanced Export... it says "The Party Poker player notes files does not exist, please select the correct file". [/ QUOTE ] Odd. That may mean your notes.txt file is missing. I honestly don't know that much about this: I just use what I know. Have you ever taken notes in PP before? If so, they should be in a file on your hard drive. Check your hard drive's party poker folder: there should be a file called notes.txt. If it's there, enter that pathway in the export window. If it's not there, you might re-install party poker to see if it creates the file. Or just get in touch with the folks at Pokertracker. They undoubtedly know more about this than I do. |

You could create a dummy one. Just open up a table and create a note on one player like "test" and close up Party Poker. The notes file should then be there.

I found the notes.txt and got all the things into my Partypoker notes. Now I still have some remaining questions, How exactly do you make Pokertracker autorate people? And it is not possible to make it auto-update the notes is it?
That's about it I guess |

That's about it I guess [/ QUOTE ] Once you set up your rules, you'll probably have to do a batch icon update on everyone in your database. Then moving forward, what you can do it check the box that says "Auto rate players when importing hand histories". Then PT will automatically update the icon when you import new hands for that player. You can't get it to auto-update notes I believe, you have to export your notes file once in awhile to get the updated icon in your notes. |

Ah! It was in the Auto-import hand histories setup window, I was looking at the autorate settings. Everything works perfectly now. Appreciate the help, Thanks!
