[ QUOTE ] How long does it take to inject yourself with ease? Did somebody shoot it for you the first couple of times? Were you nervous the first time shooting it? [/ QUOTE ] what compelled you to do heroine? [/ QUOTE ] I used to do vicodin/percocet alot. It got to the point where I was crushing up 20 vicodins with a rolling pin, and eating them with a spoon. Then I started doing oxycontins. This then lead to heroin. Also, OC's, when shot up, give you the exact same feeling as heroin, and are just as powerful as the average, cut up bag of heroin. Well, the 40mgs and 80mgs are... anything less you need to do a couple of them. I was just a sucker for the opiate high. It's something that I still think about occaisonally, and i've been clean for about 2.5 years. |

[ QUOTE ]
What is the difference between "jail" and "prison" How does the underground trade economy actually work in prison? [/ QUOTE ] Jail is where you are brought when you are arressted, and where you serve city time. When you are sentenced to over a year, you are now property of the state (Department of Corrections) and are sent to prison. This is how it is in Virginia, and i'm pretty sure it's the same in most states. Prison is the same as the street, only everything moves slower. There are drugs and there are drug dealers. Most people who are locked up are capable of selling drugs, but you have to be careful, which makes things move slower. Money is in the form of cigarettes usually, but could also be in the form of food, or stamps etc. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I must stress however that jail and prison are two completely different things, and that prison is 10 times better. [/ QUOTE ] What do you mean in the above quote? How are the card games in prison? Do the guards commonly confiscate your money, cigarettes etc.? [/ QUOTE ] Prison is better because you have more freedom. You can regularly go outside, you are guaranteed a bed, and you can buy alot more things (such as a TV and better food). Alot of jails are overcrowded and sometimes you have to sleep on a matress on the floor. Also, time moves alot quicker in prison, because you generally are assigned a job, which helps you get into a routine. People in jail are good at cards, because they have plenty of time to practice. I played some spades and hearts, but most of the time I played poker, which consisted of 7 card stud, 5 card draw, and lowball using 10 cent chips. You are allowed to have cigarettes in Prison, so they don't confiscate them. And technically gambling isn't allowed, so some guards will stop it, but alot off them don't care. |

[ QUOTE ]
Does it happen as much as people think it does? [/ QUOTE ] (I'm assuming you're talking about rape) It happens, but nowhere near as often as you'd think. If you respect people, and stay out of their business, they treat you fine. For the most part, the people to look out for are the young kids who feel they have something to prove to the older guys. |

[ QUOTE ]
Are the chain smokers the richest people? [/ QUOTE ] The richest people are the ones with the weed. It costs 3 packs of cigarettes for a joint, generally. Newports were 3.65 a pack. A quarter ounce would likely yield 20 joints (they are insanely small). |

[ QUOTE ]
Were you ever involved in any escape attempts or riots, either directly or indirectly? ScottieK [/ QUOTE ] No. There was an escape at a lower security prison close to the one I was at, which caused us to be locked down for awhile. Sussex 1 State Prison This is where I was at. It's the second highest security prison in Virginia, and it is where VA's death row inmates are housed (in a seperate building). The DC sniper was housed here when I was there. He was transfered to Maryland for another trial, but he will return here before being executed. If you're wondering why a drug dealer was housed here, it's because they have a classification area. You're sent here to be classified by security level, and then transfered to another prison. The classification can take up to 2 years, so I was released before I was transfered. Where you are sent for classification is random, and I just happened to get the worst pick out of the hat. |
