Since you have position I like you just calling the preflop.
I think it doesn't really matter in this situation.

On the flop you have to bet more like $9-10.
If you get called the K on turn is a bit tricky since you only beat AK and QQ(unlikely due to the flop call) now.
I thin a check is good here, which will get most value as possible out of AK and QQ on the river.

He probably has AK here pretty often.
