Wii system accessories- what are must-have items?

I thought the wii only took advantage up to and including s-video, anything higher than that isn't really helping, yes? No?

In case someone answering earlier wasn't clear enough, the classic controller and nunchuks don't actually use power. They draw it from the wiimote. So they have no battery in them period.
