U have 88 and 10BBs...u should not be trying to S&G against an LP raise...just shove, you're ahead of their range and if u call, you'll be open-shoving the best hand most of the time (which defeats the purpose of the S&G.) As played this is an easy shove over SB's raise.

Ahead of their range yes, but much of that range wants to see all 5 cards and a stop and go could make that difficult.
On this hand, I did push though since I didn't have the luxury of acting first anymore on a flop. |

Winning the pot is not the objective (or shouldn't be the objective here.) The objective is to get your money in with a hand that has a better winning percentage than LP raiser's range. Maybe u can S&G with 44 here, but 88 has way too much equity. No offense, but an S&G w/88 here is just FPS, and def not the most EV+ way to play the hand. Please don't wait for a "better spot"...unless i'm playing in the tourney [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]. |
