of currently active swedish groups edit: I feel like asshat for saying this but Kent has somewhat overstayed their welcome, their last album wasnt close to their earlier stuff, and their fanbase is VERY MEH and that sorta puts down the band itself imo. |

In all seriousness, my favorite album so far this year (and of the last couple years) is Jens Lekman's "Night Falls over Kortedala." Really great, funny pop music. My favorite track is A Postcard to Nina, but I couldn't find a good video for that, so here's another track off the record.
I also am a big fan of the Shout Out Louds that PJ mentioned above. One more Swedish guy I discovered this year is Jose Gonzalez. Here he is covering another Swedish band, The Knife. Heartbeats. Sweden rules. Edit: This also rules. |
