Default Re: Let\'s go to the tape! 30 minute game delay at RR

Not sure if he still works there or not, but I'm sure most of you know Gordy, he used to be a floor there, and also I think used to work at Texas Station.

A few months back, I was playing 2/5 at RR, I was in the 2 seat, and it was my button. I picked up some trash like QJ, and figured if there were only a few limpers to me I'd make it $15 or so. Well it turns out the 8 seat limped, and then the 9 seat limped- but when the 9 seat threw his chip in, it landed right next to seat 8's limped chip. Dealer doesn't realize, and tells seat 1 it's $10. Seat 1 "calls" the $10, and I didn't realize myself that it was technically only $5, but I wan't about to reraise, so without saying anything I threw in 2 redbirds. Seat 3 then asks if it's $5 or $10, dealer realizes what happened, and pushes $5 back to seat 1, and $5 back to me. I stop the dealer, and tell him that I either want to keep it $10, or to let me act on my hand. Floor gets called, and it's Gordy. Gordy rules that the action from seats 8 and 9 is just a call (correct), but that my only action is that I MUST call the $5 (incorrect). I explain to him since he stopped the action on the 9 seat, where does the action resume? I must have a chance to act on my hand, whether it be call $5, call $10 (which I thought the amount was), or be able to raise (since the bet wasn't $10 as originally declared by the dealer). But Gordy, even being in this business for quite a few years at the very least, and also being a player, wanted to hear no part of it. So I sucked it up, limped for $5, then racked up and left.

Not sure if he's still there or not, but if someone knowledgable like Tim was on the floor, I would have never been denied action on my button. This time I cant act on my button, what next time? A pair of aces beats a flush? Ridiculous.

Just another reason why Red Rock sucks ass and I'll never play there again, even though most players there are morons.
