after every niners game i tell myself im not going to watch any more this season, and yet every week i watch the game. best i can figure is i hate myself

Sad thing is most of you (all of you?) are too young to remember the Niners teams just prior to Walsh arriving in 1979. I think I would start Scott Bull over Alex Smith at this point and DeBerg would be a no brainer. i can't believe I was looking forward to this season.

I saw him play against my HS back when I was like a jr. he caught the game winning TD as time expired. I went to a mostly white catholic school, he went to a DC public school, so the local rap radio station showed up, and essentially billed it as a whiteys vs. the brothers football game. Kinda funny

I remember a Detroit game when all the QBs got hurt and Freddie Solomon took the snaps and just ran with it every time.

Maybe they should run the wishbone with all the converted QBs on the team right now? Full house backfield with Smith handing off to Gore/Battle/Robinson and let one of those guys throw it?
