i know that this was a huge pot and all, but the fact that they ran it 3 times really takes away from the 'omg' factor of a $750k pot

[/ QUOTE ]

The important point I took away from it is Luckbox > God

[/ QUOTE ]
huh? pa played horrible.

[/ QUOTE ]

how so?

he was lost on the flop call. judging by his action thus far in the show that was just a lost "im in w/ a donk" call. hes not going to go hero on the turn and hes not going to stack jamie if jamie makes just one pair. he got the greatest situation on earth and he didnt have odds to draw at that specific situation.

Considering Gold reraised preflop, there's a very real chance that he has KK, QQ, or TT. Playing a gutshot against a big hand is a standard play in deepstack NLHE.

Gold is also the type of player who might stack off with top two pair as well, or any two pair for that matter.

A Q,T,x board is perfect to play a gutshot with AJ. Antonius was drawing to the nuts and there was a good probability Gold would have a big hand. It was the perfect situation to play a gutshot against a big hand.
