[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] A solid 24-yarder in those conditions is MUCH easier than a 29-yarder. [/ QUOTE ] I'll ask you for a 3rd time. define "MUCH". in %'s, how much easier is it? [/ QUOTE ] There may not be a number. I kicked in HS and college for 5 years. I would say in [censored] conditions it could be as much as 50% or as little as 10% easier depending on a whole bunch of things, wind, rain, turf quality, etc. Does that help? [/ QUOTE ] it helps me understand that you're an idiot. sorry dude. PS: I was a kicker too!! |

LOL @ your high schools for actually having a kicker that kicked field goals and extra points. We just went for it on 4th down and went for 2 point conversions.

There's a reason I said it could vary greatly based on conditions and was hesitant to even try to put a number on it.
Of course, the best kickers, it won't matter, but sometimes it does. Tonight may have been one of those times. I also gave Vinatieri credit for that exact same kick from the 24 because that's about as bad as I've ever seen him kick. That same kick from 40 would've been so wide right it isn't even funny. I can't win when I try, I can't win when I don't. |
