I live in wimbledon, it's a damned gorgeous area. Hoxton/shoreditch/old street etc are very nice, young, trendy areas, and probably quite suitable for 20-something poker players, and very handy for the gutshot. In terms of other areas, I'd suggest camden and the surrounding areas (kentish town etc), very convenient for cardrooms, clapham, putney, and anywhere vaguely central (notting hill etc).

I'm gonna be in the Rake behind borough market tonight if anyone fancies popping in for a drink, btw, i'm the guy with the eyebrow ring.
