I don't know if CP's account of how many chips he had left were 100% accurate or not (dud Fuller bust out on the next hand??)
I think a couple bloggers (maybe CP or somebody else...don't know) were sitting right in front of us and they were scribbling on a note-pad to try to keep up with the chip-count. Schneids was thinking pretty long on that hand. And as I recall, I believe that Schneids is correct that the only J's his J7 was ahead of were J2 and J3. I think the board was JJ654 (don't know the order). Didn't get a chance to congratulate Schneids personally on his big win so wanted to do that here. Lots of fun cheering him on. Last I talked to him we were comparing our crappy stacks following day 1. He had $5500 (2.5 big bets) and I had $3000 (1.5 big bets). I was 202nd out of 207 remaining and I believe he was 195 or 192 or something. I believe I said something tongue-in-cheek about how much further ahead he was and what a huge difference those extra chips would be. Ha ha. I wasn't serious dude. congrats schneids. Pleasure meeting you (and all the other 2+2'ers) on the ship and what an awesome and well-deserved win. |
