Except that maybe the kid wasn't an idiot and knew that Phil called because the risk was small and the reward was great. I would assume that most people know that an ace is good heads up and is actually a favourite against KQs (which is in the range that a short stack would push with).

Would anyone say Doyle Brunson is a donkey for playing T2 to win the main event?
