Farha can do completely spastic things like make that K7o call and you just respond by spouting meaningless cliches about how he "has gamble" and is a great player who would run over us stupid internits.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think the difference is that people are not defending Farha as some kind of Demi-god/guru who can do no wrong and would only dominate all the donks at the table given the chance. You are right, tons of bad play at that table... nobody is defending the play of Farha, everyone knows it is ridiculous.

The question is why do some choose to defend the few ridiculous things Jman did?

Because they're fanboys? Mucking a winning hand like he did can't be defended no matter what. An experienced player would always check whether his hand was good or not in a 27 000$ pot.

You and JD both defended him saying it happens... It doesn't happen unless you are just up for making massive mistakes.

It would be like saying some guy is a great golfer and can compete with Tiger Woods and then he swings off the first tee and clips the ball and it rolls 5 feet.

The two things are not congruent. You can't be a great player and make simple mistakes like that.

I already know why he made the mistake. It would just be nice to see him admit to the reasons why instead of making excuses.

I have no real ill will against Jman. I have not seen him play enough to have any idea if he is a good player or not. All I know is what I have seen, and what he has said, and the situations he has been in...

My issues all have to do with the excuse making both by him and those who defend him than anything he actually did.

I forgive the mistake if people admit the reason why he made it is he was nervous and out of his element... Instead of just claiming it happens to everyone.
