"Second point. Witteles has made several false claims and he continues to do so. I’ll talk a little about this and after that, I’m pretty much going to refrain from talking about him. He clearly enjoys the spotlight much more than I do and he has opportunistically used this situation to try to elevate his standing in poker. In the end, when all the evidence comes out, I think, people will have a very different view of him and his role in this matter.

He says I owe him an apology because AP has admitted there has been a security breach; therefore he must not have been lying or exaggerating. Does that make any sense at all? What about the statements he made about me personally? What about the statements he made about the February 15, 2006 session?"

What false claims has he made, Mr. Seif? I'm not trying to flame here, but Seif is just babbling. Do these two paragraphs make any sense?

lol @ not resigning b/c the investigation is still "ongoing". ppl cheated. AP admitted they cheated. anyone who cares about his own integrity and of the company he represents would have quit instantly. it is obvious he is more involved with the company than just as a spokesperson

One last thing, my hand histories from the Feb 16, 2006 session. I have been told that it is likely that Absolute Poker does have those hand histories along with all other real money hands ever played on the site. They apparently are on tape and will be retrievable. I hope this is true. I really really hope so. I think the person who told me they don’t have them may have been mistaken. I really don’t know at this point. I’m just telling you what I have been told by two different sources, obviously in direct conflict with one another.

One more thing. If Seif is in fact a higher-up at AP (and it seems clear that he is) and some sort of backup of these HHs does exist, how ridiculously easy would it be to get some tech peon to find the fking backup tape in question and get the data he wants off it?

This reeks something fierce imo.

this is beyond absurd. mark seif's association with AP is potentially worth 10's of millions. only a complete dumbass would quit.

if he had no part in this scandel why should he suffer.

the only people who should suffer and be imprisoned are those that pulled this off.

If the site was to go down because of ripping off customers then he would only have a unrepairable reputation. he's gambling for sure.

Normally, I hate when attorneys bog down these AP threads fighting over what I perceive to be minutiae, but have any attorneys reviewed Mark and Todd's statements to see if he could be found liable in a civil lawsuit? Marks' statement sounded to me like he is preparing a suit against Todd and I am just wondering if the guy has anything to worry about.

i doubt todd will be sued; i hope he isn't. i think that mark seif knows todd is only trying to get to the truth.

but at the same time if it were me being accused of being a cheater when i was completely innocent then you better believe i would want to sue the living hell out of my accusers.

as of right now the guilty party is AJ Green and possibly Scott Tom. It's why AJ is "on the lam"

[ QUOTE ]

The bottom line is that Seif is doing whatever he can in order to silence Dan. Real classy, Mark.

[/ QUOTE ]

no. what he is doing is saying, "hey, i am not a cheater, i didn't see hole cards, and i'm sick and tired of my reputation being dragged through the mud."

people need to redirect their hate toward the real guilty parties
