^^i get what ur saying sciolist, but i'm banking on the river being a non-diamond most of the time and since it usually is, i want the stacks going in...

obv if it's a diamond, it sux and we have to make a read here, but on the turn, i want to prepare to shove comfortable on the river imo

We basically agree, but I would say that $26 into $42 is a comfortable shove

I'd rather have money in the pot now. If you want to prepare a comfortable shove, you should try to make it as easy as possible. MP will call more money on the turn and it doesn't change their range. If they want to take the rope you need to give it to them.

As played fold the river you are beat more then 60% of the time. Bet more on the turn. If he has an ace of diamonds you gave him almost perfect odds to call you if he thinks he can take your remaining money if he catches which it sounds like he did. I would bet $16-20 on the turn. Fold preflop

Pot the flop. Flop raise is terrible.

Had you done that, turn would have been an easy shove.
