I've been asked most times I've driven from Canada to US how much currency I have in both US and CAN$.

When I came back from Vegas from the WSOP I had >$10k and they just made me go through customs and sign some paperwork. Wasn't a huge hassel. Could be less of a hassel than other methods of getting $10k across the boarder.

You could also just lie.

the 10/20 is 3k max, 10/25 game is 5k max. how deep it gets really depends on the day i guess.

also, people wondering on where to fly into, if you could fly into Hamilton I would recommend that. The casino is about a 45 minute drive from my apartment in Hamilton and i'd guess its about an hour from the airport. I think this is still closer than Toronto though.

If you do drive through the border, declaring the cash and filling out the paperwork isn't a huge deal, but I would recommend going across the border in the middle of the night or something so its not busy and you can get through quickly. Either that or you could just lie. Probably not worth the hassle if they do decide to search you though.

ive heard some stories where if u lie and they catch u they confiscate yer $$$, not sure if its true tho.. it takes like 10 mins tops to fill out paper work its not that bad.
