It doesn't excuse the fan from running on the pitch, which I don't think has been mentioned here. And that is coming from a Celtic fan.
All that said, I am glad to see that UEFA have done something about Dida's theatrical behaviour. That sort of stuff gives the game a bad name. If they starting banning players for play-acting on a regular basis, maybe the trend would begin to be halted. Just maybe. |
