Does is bother you that other people are much smarter than yourself?

I fall into OP's category but I'm not bothered by it at all. Since I graduated college most people I come into contact with are of "average" intelligence. A lot of them consider me to be the smartest person they've ever met in their life. That's probably true, but it's still a little weird since I know a lot of people are so beyond me. Guess it's all perspective.

I think you have to be smart in the first place to be bothered in any way. Most people that are not smart would never give consideration to this question in their day-to-day lives. They either wouldn't care or wouldn't notice.

It's never bothered me, I think it's a good thing. I am very glad I'm not stupid though, so many things people say just make me cringe [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Personally, it bothers me a lot that other people are more intelligent than me: ( I want to be good at math and mtg and poker but I am terrible! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I WANNNAAAA BE GOOD AT MATHS! It sucks to be both dumb and have nerdy interests.

Well, if you ask me how much you get laid must enter ANY equation that measures degree of smartness.

You do realize that someone being smarter than you in one small area does not mean they're all around smarter than you, right?

If you have a standard level of horniness, I agree. Some guys don't though.

I assume I'm above average intelligence since I completed a series of university degrees (4 undergrad + 3 grad + 1 professional degree) in a fraction of the time. At one point I was doing the equivalent of a 4 year honours degree in 9 months while still having a very active social life.

I have no issues with dumb people. I actually enjoy them. For a long time I would only date very attractive women who were so dumb they were almost a caricature. My issue is with the average. I can't stand average people because they think they are smart. With the dumb at least the conversation is light. Smart people you can have intelligent conversations with. Average people are just frustrating.
