just to be clear, my problem with these ev graphs are that it is impossible for them to take into account hands like this for example:

raise JJ, get called, flop J57, villain c/c 90% of their stack between the flop and the turn, then bet their last couple dollars on a 6 river and you call and they turn over 34o (happened to me this morning, obv). according to the ev, you ran exactly at expectation because at the all-in/showdown moment, you had 0% equity and got 0% of the pot. what's the worth of an expectation graph if it illustrates ridiculous beats in that manner?

Is that right? It doesn't give you equity credit for each street you were ahead?

that's how i understood it. i could be wrong, i am far from certain about it. either way, focusing on what could/should have been is a waste.

I agree that pokerev is pretty lame. I prefer going into my hand histories and looking at big pots/all in pots and doing my own calculations. I can tell if i'm running good or bad based on a small amount of work.

Also, PokerEV does nothing to make me a better player.

i can usually judge how badly i'm running by the amount of pain in my hand from smacking the table in disgust after every outdraw
