iron,

"unnecessary drama"

You:unnecessary drama :: fire extinguisher:flames. Although that date stamp was about the time you were wigging out about the Politics forum being shut down so maybe that had something to do with it.

You can see how from a user's point of view it's nice to be slightly thorough when filling out the ban comment box.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree, I am more thorough than most, but I never include my name. I just assumed that the end user ses this because I get 80% of the "hey, why did you ban me" PMs for the B&M forum, I often get them when RR does the dirtywork too. Mind you there aren't a lot of bans in B&M, but it does happen on rare occasion.

i almost never sign my bans.

my ban reasons usually make it pretty clear why the person was banned though.

if they have a problem with that, they can always contact *any* mod, who will direct them to a mod of the forum they were banned for misbehaving in.

or, any user can always pm mat for explanation and/or complaints.

Woudln't it be easier and more considerate of your fellow mods for you to just sign your bans so that clueless [censored] don't waste somebody else's time?

I am not necessarily arguing with the suspension, but I think the mods could atleast indicate what forum it was from rather than making me guess.

[/ QUOTE ]

to be honest (and I had nothing to do with your ban) I thought that the message you get comes from the mod who temp-banned you.

[/ QUOTE ]

Only if they sign it.

I love the implication of like, extensive banning procedural knowledge

This is the most ridiculous thread ever.

Half of the evidence posted of mods being abusive consists of things that would only be considered offensive in a kindergarten class. By the short girl. With the crappy running shoes. Who doesn't get a snack for recess cause her mommy doesn't love her as much as the other kids mommies love them.

I have like 40 posts so I realize my cred is nil, just thought I'd point this out.
