Are your fingerprints on file?

They take your thumbprint when you get a driver's license in Colorado. I think I remember them fingerprinting my buddy who got a license in Washington as well.

My fingerprints are also on file from when I got arrested for an MIP in Arizona a couple years ago. LAME.

I don't know if these databases are tied together... i.e., if I were to go to Virginia and murder someone, would they run my fingerprints and find my goofy mug shot?
