Default Re: NL10 turn fiasco

Sorry for the berating. If you consider this a cooler then what would your range be on the turn here? Just trying to assess how off I was.

Edit: My stats were high cause I just sat down and was a PP magnet.

It's no biggie on the berating, although I don't think the way I played the hand warranted such comments. I had a bad session anyway, ended up giving another buy-in to that guy playing over half of his hands on a flop JJX when he had me kickered. Talk about hard to put someone on a range. I had a hard time with that guy, and usually people playing so many hands are the easiest to beat.

I used the word cooler because the most likely holding is Jx, all of which you beat. Given a fairly unknown player who just completed his small blind, however, both a 3 and a slow-played overpair are certainly possible.

I think the real question is, what part of that range is calling your turn shove? I can tell you I closed my eyes and winced before calling with KK. I told myself, "if he has a 3, well that's the bed I made for myself by taking this line and under-representing so much up to now." I definitely would have folded most jacks there, but not AJ given the read I had on you at the time. QJ would have gone right in the muck, though. I would have of course insta-called with a 3.
