I can imagine that brisket might be good with a BBQ sauce that involved chocolate, but that couldn't be the primary flavor.

Cucumbers are great with a medium slab of good mozzarella also.

ElD,

I think that the confusion comes in what, exactly constitutes "enhancing." Like I said earlier, you might like a plain tuna fish sandwich over a tuna melt, but that doesn't mean that you can deny the fact that the addition of cheese adds something to the sandwich.

After thinking about it more though, you're definitely right that this question lends itself to too much subjectivity.

This is likely the dumbest post to ever get a flame next to it.

PoBoy,

Sure there's subjectivity. But we can be reasonable here. I think we can all agree that adding cheese to a tuna sandwich or even melting over apple pie (DELICIOUS!) creates something that to a reasonable percentage of people will be tasty and preferable to the non-cheese version.

But are you really going to argue that cheese is going to make brisket better? I don't think so.

Much dumber threads than this have gotten a flame.

ElD,

I'm can't say for sure because I've never tried it, but apparently blue cheese can make a very nice addition to a brisket sandwich.

However, since I don't know how good it would taste with just the blue cheese or blue cheese dressing, I can't say for sure whether or not it's actually any good, I'm just throwing it out there.
