[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Who is MacsenWledig on Stars? Out yourself! [/ QUOTE ] Tis I. Why, was I good? EDIT: BTW, I was calling less than 10% of the effectives stacks + what was already in the pot, and I put you on a high pair that you would stack off with if I the set. You can't fault me on that hand. [/ QUOTE ] Here's your study for today: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...umber=11679000 Besides, your statement if correct only if my 3-betting range is AA/KK and we're assuming a low flop (this one was on the border) . But.... my range preflop was at tightest 99+/AQ+ so it's a leak on your part to put me on a big PP as I randomly 3-bet medium hands and can you can't assume I stack off even nearly often enough to make it a profitable call OOP. In position you have lots more alternativs like floating but OOP it's just not profitable in the long run. Against a 40/1/0.6 I'd gladly call a 3-bet with implied odds but I'm also assuming you knew me (because of the chat). Here's the hand by the way: POKERSTARS GAME #12175319249: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($0.25/$0.50) - 2007/09/20 - 21:44:12 (ET) Table 'Pierretta IV' 6-max Seat #3 is the button Seat 1: ceezjr ($23 in chips) Seat 2: xxBigTonyxx ($16.35 in chips) Seat 3: dirtylobster ($58.35 in chips) Seat 4: fordworker ($49.90 in chips) Seat 5: rybesgotcha ($23 in chips) Seat 6: MacsenWledig ($50 in chips) fordworker: posts small blind $0.25 rybesgotcha: posts big blind $0.50 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to dirtylobster [Ac Ad] MacsenWledig: raises $1.50 to $2 ceezjr: folds xxBigTonyxx: folds dirtylobster: raises $4.75 to $6.75 fordworker: folds rybesgotcha: folds MacsenWledig: calls $4.75 *** FLOP *** [Js 5d Tc] MacsenWledig: bets $8 dirtylobster: calls $8 *** TURN *** [Js 5d Tc] [3h] MacsenWledig: bets $18 dirtylobster: raises $25.60 to $43.60 and is all-in MacsenWledig: calls $17.25 and is all-in *** RIVER *** [Js 5d Tc 3h] *** SHOW DOWN *** MacsenWledig: shows [5s 5h] (a full house, Fives full of Tens) dirtylobster: mucks hand MacsenWledig collected $97.75 from pot dirtylobster said, "lol" *** SUMMARY *** Total pot $100.75 | Rake $3 Board [Js 5d Tc 3h Td] Seat 1: ceezjr folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 2: xxBigTonyxx folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 3: dirtylobster (button) mucked [Ac Ad] Seat 4: fordworker (small blind) folded before Flop Seat 5: rybesgotcha (big blind) folded before Flop Seat 6: MacsenWledig showed [5s 5h] and won ($97.75) with a full house, Fives full of Tens Discuss! [/ QUOTE ] TBH, my tendency to use the 5/10 rule instead of DBitel's math stems from a learning disability that puts me at a disadvantage when doing arithmetic in my head. Simply put, shifting the decimal point over one place is easier for me than figuring out what 8% of the effective stacks are. As far as whether or not I knew you were 2+2, I didn't come to that conclusion until after you made the comment in chat about implied odds. Once you said that I looked at your stats (the only hands I have on you are from that session) and realized that I think that I've seen the name before. In general, if I don't have hands on a person and recognize their screen name, I probably encountered the name here therefore the chat on my part to confirm that you were 2+2. Admittedly, this call was pushing it close. |

Fraley/lobster "feud" reminded me of an incident on UB last month. I got AI on 8-hi flop with TT, and opp. showed A8 and rivered A. H called me the donk for getting it in with TT on that action (IIRC i raise PRF, he calls out of BB, flop was i bet, he raised, i RR, he pushed.). We were about 130BB deep. It got me thinking, but i really did'nt think it was that bad against him at first, but later started to question myself. Two days later i was able to put this behind me, when i saw him getting it in on a Axx flop w/AT against AK. Of course he rivered a T. Obv. nothing to do with Fraley/lobster, but a small story i wanted to share. PS. I asked villain if he is 2+2 after he called me the donk on that hand. Response was silence, so i believe he is. Holla if you read this. |
