[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] What was it that Uncle Jun yelled right before popped one in Tony? [/ QUOTE ] <------ That is the spelling according to Wiki. Some people have said that its loose translation is "F*** you Malanga!" [/ QUOTE ] Nothing in Wiki that is relevent for Malanga or Cazzata. Not sure why Pussy Malanga wasn't even mentioned in Wiki. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artie_Bucco I listened to Uncle Jun several times and also I Googled "italian curse words" and found a site (third or so one listed). At first it sounded like "c***sucker" but I found the word "cazzata" which is what it sounds like he said. Its literal meaning didn't make any sense but a few people on IMDb say its loose translation is "f-you Malanga" which makes sense. |

Also, I thought it was pretty funny that the food in Artie's place sucks now, and they are now eating a ton of sushi. I kinda thought that the scene of him eating lunch by himself was setting up an end-of-episode heart attack (Gandolfini looks like he's put on about 30 more lbs since season 5). Power struggle in next couple of episodes...I think Chris makes a play and escalates things with the NY crew. Should be good.

There is some buzz going around that last night's episode was not the season opener, but the LAST episode of the season. The remaining episodes would tell everything that happened up to them. Those advocating this timeline point out inconsistencies with the age of Janice's baby and the length of AJ's hair. I don't buy it but with Chase you never know.

[/ QUOTE ] Meh. 22 months later people get older, things change, hair grows, and weight fluctuates. Both on TV and in real life. The sushi place was a metaphor for the renewing of Tony and Carmella's relationship. This was something that Tony chose to do on his own once again, which was why Carmella was upset. I loved his line about how he fantasizes about the food during sex. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

This makes sense for a lot of reasons.
1) Christopher is a captain? When did that happen? You'd think after the problems he and Tony had in season 5, they would develop that rather than just drop it in as a throwaway line. 2) Vito is Tony's #1 man? There would be some interesting back story with Paulie leading up to that. 3) Suddenly the food at Vesuvio sucks? Again, just laying that on us with no explanation seems lame unless this episode is the end. Now, maybe all of these things will be explained as the show moves on (rather than in flashback), but it's an interesting concept. |

Seems plausible, but it may also just be that they set this epp well after the end of the last season and are trying to drop hints about all that's changed. My favorite theory was that they didn't want to do this, but the fat guy lost too much weight and they mad to accomdiate by allowing enough time to have passed for him to be skinny. I find it highly impossible that Bobby and Janet made it that long without him killing her. If I had one wish for this season it would be for Janet to end up really dead. |

RE: The "that was the last episode" theory
Makes a lot of sense to me. Uncle Jun has deteriorated enormously, I was wondering how that happened so fast. As for the trial, don't those things take forever to start? And when did Tony's other sister come back to Jersey? |
