Raising to 34 is bad I think. Better to raise to 32 so that if button shoves it reopens the betting. [/ QUOTE ] That's why I would just raise to $50 in the first place. I doubt the button is folding to $50 if he's calling $32 or $34 and it clears up where the SB stands. Maybe this makes it too easy for the SB to play perfectly though? |

Getting 4 to one with the board this drawy I think I call. But I'm a station [/ QUOTE ] I don't like raising this strongly if you don't call a shove. Flat calling the flop bet isn't terrible either in a multi way pot when you are stuck in the middle. This is a great flop for their ranges. I like a smaller raise to like 30 as the pot is multi way and I'm folding to a shove from anybody but the short stack. I don't like going broke with an overpair in a multi way pot on boards like this. |

I thought it was 3 handed and the shortstack made the flop lead. Damn this hand really sucks. Seems like you need to raise the flop to protect your hand, but if you get all-in on this flop against 3 opponents there is a good chance you're screwed. |

sure, to start with the only read ben has on this guy is that he open-limped, so he's prob not great. Button sucks (stack) so he has any overpair, 8X, any two clubs, any 6X, 2 pair, sets. UTG leads for 1/2 pot and this is more often than not a draw on a board like this, where a set would prob bet more. That's not to say that he wont ever have a set but i think they are discounted significantly and we are much more likely to see a draw or 2 pair. also he's an unknown at .5/1 so if he did limp something like TT/JJ hes prob not folding it. If you are concerned about UTG b/3-betting something strong then you cant raise to 1/2 your stack in the firstplace. once you do you are snapcalling everything so long as SB doesnt shove. You dont have to include many draws/1 pair hands for this to be a call w/ these odds.

i dont think you can put 6X in button's range w/ out it being weighted really light
i also don't think that we can discount the weight of sets in UTG's range based on bet sizing.. idk where im going with this. raise/fold half stack ftw |
