I'd say it was a good bet if you really didn't know where you were and knew if you checked Brian would have bet more and then PH would have to wonder if he was getting seven-deuced. Pretty cheap blocking bet IMO.

The bad part about that habd was Brian not raising on the river.

it was a horrible bet because anyone who has any clue how to play is going to raise it with pretty much any 2...and he will very likely get taken off the hand and in enough cases to make it stupid get taken off the best hand

Hence the bet against Brandon, saying that it wont work against a good player isnt really relevant here, also Id say it worked..
