Nice to see Chelsea and Man U dropping points hopefully there will be more competition at the top of the league this year.
Also its being proposed that the FA cup winners get the champions league place rather then the forth placed team I'm in favour.

Chelsea and ManU should be alarmed that Pool and Arsenal could both have 13 points right now due to that game in hand. If Lehman hadn't of had that [censored] at Blackburn, we would be top of the table.

So what was that chatter before the season started about Arsenal?

dare I say...

...TOP TOP!

Still early days of course, but damn does it feel good even so.
Let's go Man U and Chelsea - your turn to play catch up.

Not that much, way too early for that. Arsenal have had 3 home games that you'd expect them to win and a tricky away game which they dropped points in. Similar story with Liverpool. Be more worried if they still hold that gap approaching the half way point.

No one is getting carried away. But I suspected before the season started that the top four would be closer than last season. And it certainly looks that way so far. Also note that Liverpool beat Aston Villa away. Also also note that both Liverpool and Arsenal have looked far better than Man U and Chelsea so far. If they take too long to find top form, they might punished for it later.

You cant win the league in aug/sept, but you can certainly lose it (to repeat an old cliche).

we've been able to grind out two wins so far and were unlucky against Reading. We haven't gotten anywhere near to being far behind to even come close to pushing the panic button like TSC is trying to imply. The real part of the season is about to start in the next few weeks with the Champions League gearing up. Aresenal's depth is still a bit suspect, and we'll see if Livercrap still have a problem drawing too many matches.

I'd be alot more worried about us if we only took a point against Sunderland then the full three

The league on the first 4-5 games usually looks this way :

1)Chelsea 15
2)Man.United 13
....
6)Arsenal 10
....
13)Liverpool 5

Ending the awful runs on the first 4 games doesnt mean we are winning number 19 but it certainly helps.

FACT: Man U have had their worst start to a season in 15 years.
FACT: It is still very early days.
ALMOST A FACT: However, to win the premiership you need to get 90+ points - which means that every single point you drop is a worry.

It is fun to jump to conclusions early in the season (will Newcastle take 4th? Everton? Will Liverpool win it?), but of course 5 games doesnt tell us much.

Let's have a look at the table come january - hopefully there will be one or two surprises.
