blackkeys, are you able to do any kind of knee flexion exercises? lunges or step ups or split squats?

No. I can do static holds and [censored] but if the kneecap is rubbing against the leg bone, then no go.

IIRC deadlifts wouldn't be bad for this. I can always try them out and if that irritates me I will stop.

Quick question: I'm 6'2", 205. If I'm playing/coaching soccer 5 or 6x a week for around 2 hours each day, taking karate classes 4x a week for 1.5 hours each day, and I'm a teacher so I'm up and moving around all day, how many calories do I need to eat to maintain? I'm seeing ranges from 3500 to 6500 and I have no clue what is close to correct.

On a side note, apparently (according to BMI) the "normal" weight range for a 6'2" male is somewhere between 144 and 194, which is just ridiculous. 144!

BPS,

You can't "calc" it accurately. There are far far far too many X factors. Ingest and adjust by 250 each week depending on what happend.

Most of those BMI things are ridiculous. I'm on the border of overweight and stoked about it.
