I'm still trying to decide if Ted is brillant or stubbornly stupid here....

I'm going to have to go with brilliant. Have you seen Ted call people's cards right every time? I have yet to see him guess wrong. He is known for making the best reads in poker and that table really showed why. Ted is amazing.

I thought it was hillarious when Kido laid down his gut shot straight draw to the New Yorkers pocket Tens on the flop, and then before he turned them over, Forrest called out Pocket Tens and the look on the New Yorkers face was priceless!

1. Ted is the best. My hero for sure.

2. Courtney was fine. Give her some time. Her interviewing skills are far superior to SH but she still looked nervous.

3. I've had it with these clowns winning a hand (any hand) and feeling the need to run to the crowd.

4. I know E-Dog and Gavin are buds but why were so many people high-fiving E-Dog after Gavin walked back to the table? It just seemed excessive. Does E-Dog own a piece of Gavin?

I miss Shana Hiatt. The stories about her replacement being awful are true.

Courtney Frield just look uncomfortable in front of the camera. She looked fine on the news broadcast stuff she did before. But here, god. There is something that comes off the wrong way. So effing disappointed.

I'll say this about celebrating after winning a key hand, it's just fine with me if you shake the guy's hand that you just knocked out first, and at least deal with the loser professionally before you run screaming into the crowd.

It's funny because I don't get it.

But that's not why I called.

This has probably been mentioned already, but they f'd up the opening of the show. It starts with the spotlights converging on the table. No problem there. But then the four big things are supposed to individually light up and buzz. Next should be Gus Hansen and a few other highlights, then everything starts spinning.

Instead for the new season, the big things light up all at once. There's no buzzing, and no Gus Hansen. All we're left with is the spinning.

To summarize, here are the core components for a quality opening:

- buzzing
- Gus Hansen
- spinning
