This is 10-20, people aren't all tricky with free showdown attempts and semi-bluffs against preflop 3-bettors. Just call down.

You've got top pair top kicker heads-up with a raggedy board, 3-bet (if you think he will fold) or call (if you would fold to a 4-bet). On the river, bet out if you improve or there is no straight or overcards. You really need to try to show this one down.

As it turned out the villain had JTs and had indeed raised me for a free showdown. I fell for it and called turn, checked river and took a pot with one less BB in it, at the least. |
